My Transformative Journey
Twelve years ago, psychedelics changed my life. In fact, they continue to have a huge impact on my life today. What began as a personal exploration to heal my own trauma led me to a deeper understanding of plant medicine, and ultimately, to the work I do today. I’ve seen firsthand the powerful potential these medicines have—not just for healing but for growth and transformation in every area of life.
I certainly didn’t have an easy start. Growing up in a very unstable home, I faced significant hardships, including homelessness and the absence of my father, who was in and out of prison and passed away when I was eleven, never having the opportunity to meet him. From age six to eighteen my life was in constant movement and never felt settled. I lived in a variety of different living situations from a low poverty environment and in a single-mother household where drugs were always present. To living with family friends, being pulled out of school from social workers threatening to put me into the system, to relatives I barely knew, and then eventually with an adoptive family. Each person along the way played a pivotal role in the impact they had on my life and the contribution they gave to me.
